School of Sustainability Internship Program
The School of Sustainability internship program offers internships for undergraduate and graduate students for academic credit, screening each internship carefully to monitor for a rich experience that directly focuses on an area of sustainability.
Students will have the opportunity to make an impact on the surrounding community, and may be exposed to many different areas and fields – enhancing their knowledge and experience! Internships occur during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, or for longer periods of time.
Community partners can work with the School of Sustainability Internship & Experiential Education Specialist to develop an ongoing internship program or offer opportunities on a case-by-case basis through the Liaison.

The School of Sustainability’s graduate programs offer students the opportunity to work with a project partner on their sustainability issues and apply creative and workable approaches to address real-world challenges. The Master of Sustainability Solutions (MSUS), the cohort-based Master of Sustainability Leadership (MSL), and the Executive Master of Sustainability Leadership (EMSL) are all experiential and applied programs.

The Project Cities Program engages sustainability students and faculty with a community partner on important municipal sustainability challenges. Collaborative work on problems provides practical, educational experience for the students and innovative alternatives to the city partner.
The Project Cities Program is offered through the ASU Sustainable Cities Network in partnership with the School of Sustainability.

Submit your municipal project ideaSolutions- and Project-Based Learning Program
The School of Sustainability’s Solutions- and Project-Based Learning (SPBL) Program works with community partners to incorporate their sustainability questions as student projects into existing courses that provide the theoretical and methodical frame to address the issue. Depending on the sustainability issue at hand, the projects are incorporated into undergraduate- or graduate courses as a major group assignment or as the basis for the entire course.
Community partners can connect with the School of Sustainability’s Community-University Liaison to discuss ideas and develop an ongoing relationship or offer project opportunities on a case-by-case basis.
